 We Are A Global Community! 1..2..3.. Tech's 4 Me is a website for all Educators, their students and anyone involved in the Educational Technology field. The website continues to transform due to the requests of my viewers. I will be adding new pages to the website for high school students and middle school students. I will also be adding a section called "Professional Development" where viewers will be able to learn a variety technology skills. I will introduce my viewers each month to an new Web 2.0 application and provide screen shots and movies showing you how to use the application using SnapProX. Handouts will also be available, which will include screen shots that you will be able to print and use as you need. Nothing is more frustrating than to be showed a new technology application during a professional development workshop and be expected to use the program with no further training or hand-out to refer back to. I have heard that one complaint from many, many teachers. So stay tuned the "Professional Development" section will be up and running by the end of August. Teacher Site of the Month: Dim Dim Dim Dim is a web conferencing tool, which allows up to 20 conference attendees for free. Dim Dim provides file sharing, interactive white board, audio and video participation. In Dim Dim you are also able to share your desktop with the conference attendees. The closest thing I could compare it to is Breeze, now Adobe Connect. Once your meeting is over, the host is able to embed the conference into a website, wiki, or blog. Dim Dim is web-based, nothing to download except a simple plug-in. Dim Dim works on Mac, PC and Linux operating systems. I think Dim Dim has great potential as a leader in conferencing tools.
